About Shawn 

I'm a chef, healthy living coach, certified fermentationist, and have a Bachelors of Science in Holistic Nutrition.

When I was growing up my parents did the best they could to feed our family of four. We ate the Standard American Diet (SAD) of highly processed foods. As a result, from the age 4 months old throughout my teenage years I was severely ill and had a poor immune system. This was devastating for my mom, she didn’t know what to do. 

Fast forward to one sleepless night in the rocking chair with my two-year-old daughter.  I looked at her sweet face while giving her a breathing treatment wondering if this was how her life was going to be.  My next thought was there has to be a better way.  This led me to eliminate cow’s milk, refined sugar and flour, and get back to the basics of simple whole foods.  I saw my daughter completely transform and got a front row seat to see the healing power of food.  

From that point on, I was motivated to learn all that I could which led me on my path to help others change their food and change their life.

Today it’s my mission to teach families all over the world how to get out of processed food and get back into the kitchen to create easy whole food meals in 30 minutes or less and implement simple healthy habits that will make all the difference in their quality of life.
